Highlight your beautiful eyes by applying this ‘Lock & Load Awesome Eyeshadow And Eyebrow Palette’ from Makeup Revolution London. The attractive shades in this palette will ensure rich colour in a single application and stay on for hours. The shadows are a mixture of shimmery and matte finishes, easy blendable, good pigmentation.
How to Use
- Prime your eyelids with your favorite eye primer.
- Dip your brush into the pan and apply it on the eyes.
- To get more coverage you can use your fingers for application.
To begin with, the quality of the case is not very good as it seems to be made of cheap quality plastic and also appears fragile. The palette is not just thinner but also relatively smaller when compared to other Makeup revolution palettes as the shadow pans are little in size. You need a smaller brush to work with the eyeshadows which kind of gets irritating at one point. Although it is quite secured, but to open the lid in this case is quite a task. My nails broke several times when I was struggling to open it for initial few times, after which I realized it is just a foolish attempt and then I started using tweezers to open the palette.
This palette has 14 eyeshadows and 2 eyebrow powders making a total of 16 colors. When I first laid my eyes on this palette, I was in awe looking at the bright and vibrant shades available in it. Just beneath the eyebrow colors, you would see one sponge applicator and one mini angled brush. It has a good range of colors and is not just limited to neutrals, so one can create beautiful everyday looks as well as bold and colorful makeup looks using this palette. Almost all of them have shimmers, even the matte ones when seen up-close except the brow shades offcourse. The matte shades are a bit chalky especially the black ones, however the shimmery shades are richly pigmented, easy to use and look great on the eyes as well. They perform really well even without a primer and stay up to 7-8 hours with minor-to-no creasing but since I have oily lids, I prefer using a primer. One thing I noticed was these shadows work better when used with a sponge tip applicator or fingers rather then brushes. brush doesn’t really pick the colors that well. The brown-grey brow powder seems perfect match for my eyebrows and looks very natural, however it is a little chalky being just like rest of the matte shades in this palette. The yellow brow color almost does a good job of blending and merges into my own skin tone so doesn’t show up much.
All in all, despite the flimsy packaging which is kind of a turn off, I think it is a decent palette and is useful for travel purpose when you don’t wanna carry a lot of makeup as it is very compact and has a good range of colors in it. The shimmery eyeshadows are gorgeous but the matte ones are quite disappointing. My favorite shade from this palette is definitely the copper one(4th from left)
Could not find a link to buy this either but will update as soon as I do
