Maybelline ClearGlow All in One Shine Free Cake Powder – Nude Beige : Review , Swatch

January 3, 2017

A very Happy and prosperous New Year to all of you ! I have been neglecting my blog quite a lot lately but I hope in this new year, I stay regular and keep working harder to provide as much quality content as possible, nonetheless , I will always be thankful for your overwhelming support and love. Moving on to today’s post, off-late Maybelline has been coming up with many new launches but seems like I am still hooked to the oldies. Since I have oily skin, one thing I always need to keep my skin looking fresh and oil free is a compact powder. Today I am reviewing Maybelline ClearGlow All in One Shine Free Cake Powder which is something I keep going back to every now and then.

Price : 225 INR

Quantity : 9g

If you are looking for a light shade compact powder, opt for Maybelline Clear Glow Powder. This compact powder by Maybelline is something that you will love to have in your bag. In fact, it is capable of giving you a smoother skin tone. Presence of vitamins makes the skin healthy from within and it finely blends with your skin tone as well. The Maybelline Clear Glow Powder comes with an SPF rating of 26 PA++.

Available Shades

  • Light
  • Natural
  • Nude Beige
  • Pressed Talc
  • Sand Beige

How to Use

  • Before going out, apply the powder evenly with sponge all over your face and neck. You can use it everyday.

Maybelline ClearGlow Shine Free Cake Powder comes in an extremely adorable pink plastic case that has two compartments inside it- one containing the product and other with the sponge. It also has a mirror which is an added advantage as you don’t need to carry a separate one yourself. The sponge is very good quality meaning it applies the powder seamlessly and effortlessly. The packaging overall is sturdy as well as appealing making it a perfect option for traveling or touch-ups.

This is a very finely milled powder having silky smooth texture and a decent coverage. It instantly brightens up the face after application and imparts a mattified look which really like. It comes in 5 different colors but duskier skin tones still don’t have anything for them in the range. I am in the shade ‘N*de Beige 02’ which is a shade lighter then my skin tone (I am NC35) . I always opt for setting powder in 1 tone lighter shade then my actual color as it kind of adds glow to my face. The staying power is average on my oily skin ( 2-3 hours) and I have to either blot my face or go for another touch up frequently. I prefer using it with a sponge rather then a brush as it gives ample amount of coverage as well as reduces the appearance of the pores when applied with dabbing motion. It not only makes my skin look firmer but also has SPF 32 in it that provides protection against harmful sun-rays. I top it on Maybelline Fit me foundation to get that flawless looking skin. It also works well over BB and CC creams for any skin type.

Overall, Maybelline ClearGlow compact powder is definitely a steal at that price. It works well for all skin types by instantly mattifying and adding instant glow to the face. It is very affordable , hence a very good choice for college going girls or for those on a budget. RECOMMENDED !!

It sounds like a really nice face powder. And I can see it coming in handy with the SPF as well.

While it’s a shame that it doesn’t come in darker shades as well, it still sound like a great powder! As a fellow oily-complected gal, I appreciate any face product that mattifies. smile
