CLINIQUE Pore Refining Solutions Instant Perfector : Review , Swatch

April 1, 2016

A primer plays a key role in making your base makeup look flawless as it not only preps your skin for the foundation to go on smoothly but also helps it last longer. There are plenty of primers available for different skin concerns but the one thing that a primer is used most commonly for is to fill in the pores and fine lines so that the skin looks firmer and feels silkier. One such primer that I always wanted to try was Clinique Pore Refining Solutions Instant Perfector and today I am going to review the same for you smile

Review

Clinique Pore Refining Solutions Instant Perfector comes in a pretty pastel green squeeze tube with a silver screw cap. It has a long nozzle which helps in a controlled dissipation of the product. With this simple and handy packaging, it manages to stay right there in my bag whether I am traveling or not.

I have a very sensitive acne-prone skin so I was quite skeptical before using Clinque Instant perfector for the fear of getting pimples but I must say I have not experienced any setbacks till date. The texture of this primer is thick, almost semi solid because of which it needs to be rubbed well into the skin before you apply anything else over it. I have quite big pores on and around my nose and cheeks, so if I go on to put my foundation without primer, it makes them appear much bigger then their original size. So, I smear just a tiny amount of this product at the areas where I need it and my skin looks better and smoother instantly. It transforms into a powdery matte finish, leaving the skin super soft by blurring out the pores and fine lines. No residue is left behind and it gets blended into the skin really quick. There are three shades available in it and the one that I have is ‘Invisible Bright’ which is white in color that provides instant sheer coverage. This is undetectable on skin but it surely gives an even surface and preps your skin for the foundation to go onto it. With this, the amount of foundation you need is reduced and it also lasts for a longer period. The slippery texture of this product is an evident proof of it containing silicones which is not preferred by many. My only concern with this primer is works temporarily on the shine control aspect, so if you have very oily skin just like me, you will notice that the pores start returning to their natural state along with the greasiness.

This is a very good product if you are looking for something to minimize the appearance bigger pores. However I would recommend using it only for special occasion as it may feel heavy on skin sometimes. This is also on the pricier side but a little goes long way so I will call it as a good investment. Dry skinned girls should moisturize well before using it.

Buy it here.

Definitely a bit pricey, but it’s not a bad investment if you only plan on using it for special occasions.

I did use this one but it did not work well on my weird skin laugh My skin is sometimes dry, sometimes oily, that all depends on its mood laugh Some days it would be patchy on my skin, some days it would be okay. Maybe some other Clinique product will work on my skin smile
