The house of FENDI was established by Adele and Edoardo Fendi in Rome in 1925. The opening of the first FENDI boutique, a fur and bag shop, followed. Since then, FENDI has focused greatly on research and has successfully built the strong reputation it has today. Fendi made its Couture Fashion Week debut with its first haute fourrure collection in the house’s 90-year history showcasing a range of creations that included coats, stoles and capes with feather and floral appliques and trippy trousers that came in gold leather and bore swirled, psychedelic prints.
For the first time, FENDI presented the Haute Fourrure Collection, a luxurious offering of incredible never before seen pieces, the ultimate expression of the Maison’s highest creativity and craftsmanship in fur since 1925.The show celebrated Karl Lagerfeld’s 50 year collaboration with FENDI, the longest relationship in the fashion world between a designer and a fashion house.
Karl Lagerfeld doesn’t design in an ivory tower. Rather, it’s a tower of travertine marble – the Palazzo della Civiltà Italiana, where the Roman label Fendi installed itself earlier this year. Lagerfeld is Fendi’s Creative Director.
FENDI’s fur working techniques are now more than ever considered as a highly skilled craftsmanship school, being the only fashion brand to have an in house Fur atelier and a benchmark for the sector throughout the entire world.
Have a great Day !! *kiss*
