Oriflame The ONE Volume Blast Mascara : Review , Swatch

January 23, 2015

Hey girls,

Today I am going to review Oriflame The ONE Volume Blast Mascara. I have very sparse eye lashes and I just can not live without mascara. I feel it can draw more attention to the eyes by making the lashes stand out and give your eyes a more defined and polished look along with the eyeliner. I have been using this mascara for 2 months now , so I am all set to share my opinion about it.

Price : 529 INR

Quantity : 8 ml

What ORIFLAME claims?

“Every Lash Counts – Lash – grabbing brush catches every lash for super separation and bombastic volume. Conditioning actives hold on to moisture for soft, lubricated and conditioned lashes and Vitamin E that provides immediate nourishment. Bold Boost Wax System – helps to create a rich, smooth and creamy consistency for ultra volume and easy application.”

How to Use :

  • Apply one coat on your eyelashes and let it dry.
  • Apply second coat to add more volume.

It come in a berry color plastic tube with the name of the product engraved on it in silver. It has a thin long wand with small bristles which picks up the adequate amount of product and coasts the lashes with ease.

My Experience

As I mentioned earlier, I have barely visible eye lashes and I usually prefer a mascara that adds volume to them, so whenever I see the claim of ‘Volume’ I literally jump with joy. When I got my hands on Oriflame The ONE Volume Blast Mascara’s, I was expecting it to fulfill this particular need of mine which unfortunately wasn’t the case. It doesn’t provide lush and body to the lashes which makes me crave for those dramatic eyes. This primarily could be due to the formula which is more on the thinner side. However I noticed that it works perfectly on the lengthening department. It has a long and stiff wand that makes application a breeze. It grabs and coats every last lash, separates them to perfection and gives them length without using an eyelash curler. I generally wear two coats of it as a single coat doesn’t show up a lot. It holds the curl nicely and keeps it in place for long. I love how it opens up my eyes instantly making them look big and wide. It doesn’t flake or clump and imparts a deep black color to the lashes which is another plus. It is not waterproof which I know many of you might consider as a con but I really like it for this reason. I don’t prefer/advise waterproof formulas for everyday wear as continuous tugging at the lashes can make them fall out. I have very watery eyes and never did I notice it smudging or budging around my eyes. But yes, I would not recommend it for any special occasion or teary moments *blum* . Because it is not waterproof, it comes off easily with warm water/oil leading to a fuss-free makeup removal. This mascara stays put for good 8-9 hours and I don’t really feel the need of going back and applying it again by the day end.

All in all, if you compare the performance of this mascara as per Oriflame’s ‘Bombastic Volume‘ claim, you are going to be disappointed but this does not mean you wont like it at all. I would say this is a perfect thing for eyes for everyday usage. It elongates and separates the lashes beautifully making the eyes pop.

Unfortunately Oriflame products can be availed only through their representatives.

Overall Verdict

Oriflame The ONE Volume Blast Mascara is my go to mascara these days. It is a great choice for office/college going girls. I love how it makes my lashes look, minus the volume ofcourse. If you are someone on a lookout for lengthening mascara, this is it !

Have you tried Oriflame The ONE Volume Blast Mascara? What do you have to say about it ?

Love *kiss*

Waterproof mascaras is not something I use either. If I go swimming I am happy to go bare face. The mascara makes a huge difference on your eyes, beautiful!

  • Reply Agata January 25, 2015 at 1:41 pm

It definitely made your lashes longer and fuller but I like a lot of volume too, even for every day wear. I miss having access to Oriflame cosmetics!

    • Reply Purva January 27, 2015 at 10:07 am

Hahaha Agata..I too like volume but ocassionally.. You are right oriflame products are hard to find sad

  • Reply Nava Krishnan January 25, 2015 at 3:01 pm

Yes, Yes! I like the lengthening effect. But sad that oriflame isn’t a popular brand over here. The products are hard to come by. Let me see if there’s any way I can still grab one.

    • Reply Purva January 27, 2015 at 10:09 am

I wish you find it online somewhere.. I know how difficult it is to get hands on oriflame products
