Packaging

The serum is packed in a transparent gold plastic bottle with a pump dispenser. The dispenser is covered with a plastic cap which helps reducing the chances of the product to spill. Because the bottle is transparent it is easy to know how much product is still left. The packaging is sturdy, simple and handy and that is what makes it a very travel friendly.

My Experience

I have very dry and frizzy hair with oily scalp. This is the worst combination ever trust me because half of your life you just don’t understand what you need to take care of. And the hair I have today if the gift of Bengaluru..LOL.. Seriously.. I never had this bad hair in my entire life. They stand straight in all possible angles every time I wash my hair and stay like that for the entire day. Taking into consideration my hair condition, I decided I need to try a serum. It’s not that I never tried any before, But I really needed it now and earlier I just used to try them out of curiosity 😛

So now that you know my hair issues, I will begin with the review. Streax perfect shine serum is a transparent in color  and has a slightly runny consistency because of which it becomes easy to spread it across . I use it each time I wash my hair taking a tiny amount of it on my hands and running my fingers through the damp hair, leaving the scalp. It gets absorbed pretty fast and adds a little shine to my hair but it doesn’t work too well to tame down the frizziness that I have (so a false claim out there) . It has an extremely strong fruity/sweet smell to it which is quite overwhelming. I have been using it for over a month and I have seen no improvement in the texture of my hair. I have also tried it on dry hair but it doesn’t work either way for me. As per Streax, this serum is enriched with walnut and almond oil which locks moisture in your hair and keeps them from getting damaged whereas according to me it only lets you to de-tangle your hair easily and gives a temporary shine which goes away in a day or so.

Overall it hasn’t worked for me very well and I am still on a hunt of a good hair serum.

Buy it here .

Overall Verdict

It is a decent product only for those who don’t have a lot of issues with their hair.. For someone like me who has extremely rough , unruly and damaged  hair, this serum is a ‘Not worth trying’ Product.

Have you tried Streax serum ? Have you tried a serum that really works on dry damaged hair? Let me know in the comments smile

Love and Hugs *kiss*

That’s quite an honest review sweetie.. I have tried loreal hair serum and that seems to works much better, not sure how it would effect damaged hair !

I think I would give this a try. My hair isn’t the healthiest since I do dye it every 6 weeks.

I am sorry to hear about your hair struggle. I too have very dry and unruly hair but I have learned to managed them with occasional hair spas and finding the right products. But yes I don’t have an oily scalp.

Hey Purva, I’m sorry to hear this one isn’t all that great for you! It looks like a typical silicone-based hair product to me. There is nothing wrong with that, but the effect usually is temporary. Have you tried to use real oil in your hair?

  • Reply Krithi September 12, 2014 at 5:44 pm

    Definitely not for me
    I have bad hair sad

  • Reply smashinbeauty September 13, 2014 at 8:52 am

too bad that it didn’t work for you. Have you tried the moroccan oil?

  • Reply sindhu September 15, 2014 at 5:11 am

Sad that it did not work for you. btw, are you in bangalore now?

  • Reply Gabrielle September 15, 2014 at 6:24 pm

Long and healthy hair is what we’re all after, after all! This product looks really interesting, although it’s a pity it doesn’t tame your ‘frizz’, Purva! My hair is straight as a ruler, so I don’t have to worry too much about frizz and such.. 90% of my hair purchases are for their scents haha!
